This is my 4th year working with Anchor Academy. Prior to joining the Anchor Academy team, I taught in the public school system as a Music and Kindergarten teacher. Presently, my husband and I are home schooling our three little princesses—Cara(5), Katie (3) and Cassie (1) in Oyama, BC. We love living and learning in the Okanagan and try not to take the beauty of God’s creation for granted.

In high school I discovered that I loved to learn and loved to teach. In fact, since I was five years old I have been in a class room as a learner or teacher, in B.C., Liberia, and the Cook Islands. As I matured, I developed a desire to unlock the message of the Scriptures to people. So, here I am working with the Anchor Academy team — “training boys and girls to love and serve Jesus Christ.”

I'm continually thankful for my work with Anchor. What a joy it has been to partner with Christian parents all across BC in the education of their teens! As a homeschooling mom as well as a teacher, I understand the challenges they face, as well as the deep convictions that compel them to overcome.

After graduating from Trinity Western University and University of British Columbia , I gained experience teaching in the classroom as well as working individually with parents and students. I love missions, sports, and enjoying God’s creation with my family. I look forward to helping students succeed as they pursue a Christ-centred education.
