My name is Shawna Haak, 2009/2010 was my first year teaching at Anchor Academy. It has been a blessing for me to be able to stay at home with my children, while still teaching and guiding students part time. I teach family units that cover grades K-7, and I have learned a lot about exciting homeschool curriculum through the families that I have been privileged to work with. I enjoy being able to help my homeschool families chose programs that best suit the individual needs of their children, and guiding them to make the necessary adaptations to meet the Ministry's requirements. My husband and I have been blessed with four beautiful children, we have three girls, Cheyanne, Emmersen, and Isabella, and one little boy, Mason. My family lives on a dairy farm along the beautiful Shuswap River. The girls and I enjoy helping my husband with chores, and spend as much time as we can outdoors, especially in the summer. We are blessed to be able to observe and experience God's beautiful creation daily, and my goal is to have my children recognize God's love for us through these experiences.
